I just looked again at my Perrin BOV. I totally forgot that there was an O-ring. Interesting thought on the 2nd groove. Maybe a 2nd O-ring would change the response characteristics.

Tephra did you ever play with the flow adjustment bolt?

^ nah, always on fully in..

so last night I had a chance to drive my car after refreshing the BOV (with a lot less lube)

and its heaps better...

now there is an ever so slight "grumble" on the fwy when backing off the throttle...

much better than before, I think I can live with it for the time being

so less is more

yes, they sent me a rebuild kit (new orings and grease)

all is well again

I think this BOV (and probably others) just need regular maintainance... otherwise it gets a little gummed up..

maybe thats my meth

That's awesome. I gotta admit... Perrin has top notch customer service

I was under the impression it was doing that the moment you put it in. That wasn't the case?

Did that include 2 o-rings or just the original 1 is all the DV needs?
Is this probably still the best recirc BOV out there? I see some promise on the Synapse DV (small one) but I feel like theres SO MUCH tinkering thats needed, I want something that is 85% driveability and just plug and play-ish. I will tinker a little but I don't have the experience or know-how to keep tinkering to get perfect results.

In short, theres nothing "new" about your rebuild kit, it will still be the same DV that I have now?

I retired my Perrin BOV. The Cobb BOV is better IMO. Runs like stock.
