Andy and I have talked about putting AMSOIL in the car bumper-to-bumper and I think that is the plan eventually.

Actually no. To this point I have used Redline oils in the trans, acd and rear diff. I went straight to those after draining the OEM fluids and have stuck with them since.

email me and we can get you on track, id say some SVG 75w140 would get you better results, its all about reducing friction when racing

Sorry to thread jack, but are you suggesting the SVG 75W-140 would give less friction than the redline at the cost of greater wear?
Purely in terms of wear reduction, would the redline (heavy shockproof - is that what you're using?) be better?

the tranfer case Ring and Gear assembly have plenty backlash from factory,,,,
Alright let me explain, if you take your TC out and insert the driveshaft spline, and one of the axles and grab both shaft with hand and move them in the driving direction back an foward you will find there is some play called 'backlash'
backlash is seen in between the meshing of the gears by design and tends to be at a greater scale with ring and gear units.
So with that being said, now lets talk why would a car benefit from a 75w90 or a 75w140. A 90 i would use it in any car with stock HP up to 500 WHP but this car does not see much track abuse , some 1/4 miles some highway pulls and dyno time, and we have plenty running at this power using SVG 75W90 that meet this criteria.
140 would be used for an application similar to boom29 where heat is extreme and where loads are higher than the guy making one pull on the highway, i want him to have a consistant cushion all the timebetween those gears hence 'reducing friction' and being a synthetic volatility is not an issue, the lube clinging to the gears will be there ect...

Pulled the oil again tonight.
Plan is to send it in again. Had some high ambient temps on this run, and a full tank of 100oct along with higher boost on this run. Will update when the results come back!
Not sure about others, but my Dad taught me to fill the filter as full as possible so the vehicle doesn't start up with an empty filter. I also use the oil to lubricate the filter itself.

Busy month of July is upon the 929 Evo Team. Where usually July is pretty slack here in the Midwest, I've got my most hectic month approaching.
As of right now, I am tentatively planning back-back-back track weekends. I would not even consider this w/o the complete confidence in the car and it's ability to be pushed car repeatedly - and safely.
Teaser - The last weekend would be a really big haul; but I'll keep things under wraps for now. Stay tuned for details...

Today....
Got up at 3:30am. Drove to the track, drove and instructed, then drove home.
Total miles driven and instructed today: 450+ miles...
Here's some pics of the rig. I figure since the truck runs on AMSOIL too, I can post in here too!

Lastest oil analysis report. I'll let Andy pop in here and decode the information!
The quick and dirty:
As we seen a jump in copper in the last test, we decided to do another quick test to keep an eye on that number - and it fortunately went down! This run had a tank of 93 and 1.5 tanks of 100oct ran through it @ 25psi hold. I ran the Redline event with this, so it was pushed pretty hard as well.
Disregard the drop in mileage, I usually just guess at it. It's actually 22,800 on the car right now.

Maintenance update!
With my usual class being NASA TTB, I'm pretty restricted in the mods I run. I basically invest all my mod 'points' in tires and suspension. The remaining 3 pts I have I use on exhaust for some add'l power. Well, if/when I run TTA I get another 19pts to play with - and I'm running TTA at my next event! (more on this reasoning later)
In an effort to improve the handling of the car and further reduce understeer - and to help use up those add'l 19pts - I put my old 24mm Hotchkis RSB on. The pic above is mid-install just after I pulled off the factory RSB. While I was at it I figured it'd be a good time to flush our the rear diff fluid as well.
By the way.... I used AMSOIL grease when I put the RSB mounts back on!

Sounds like you are having way to much fun,,, if anyone has questions about boom29's oil analysis we can discuss, the engine is looking very healthy after 2 full seasons of full blast racing.

Absolutely beat on the car today - with terrific results!
Insanely hot and humid today. Put a total of 74 on-track miles on the car today which is a ton around a 2.2 mile course.
Peak oil temps of 264 degrees with a usual high of 260 nearly every session. I'll do a full review after the weekend, but slot down another 1st place TT finish for the AMSOIL team!
