Check out the writeup.... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mo...y-testing.html

Temps right at 36 all weekend. Peak oil temps were 242 degrees. Average peak of 230-240 after about 8-12 laps a session.

Besides some minor tweaks here and there, pretty much no change to the Evo for the next track weekend - which will be my first competition event of 2011.

That's right - no maintenance between events! Awesome.

The only thing to note is to keep an eye on my front rotors. They're showing some life after just 4 track days! I always take old spares just in case, and I'll be taking NEW spares to the next event as it's a 3-day event.

3 days at Mid Ohio complete. What an exhausting trip! 955 miles total towing, 210 miles on the track. AMSoil in both vehicles obviously.

All those miles and time behind the wheel is tiring; and I had to drive out in the rain and back through a 36mph side wind. Great huh.

Here's the complete writeup:

With a quick bleed of the front brakes and an oil change....

Headed to Autobahn this past weekend. Much shorter trip thankfully, just 450 miles total in the truck which is less than 1-way to Mid Ohio! And because of the bad weather I had just 65 miles in the Evo altogether.

Results:
Took 1st Saturday in the rain and 1st Sunday in the dry with a record breaking 1:32.1.

And a good pic of the car from Sunday:

Another track weekend this past weekend.

Oil temps stayed very low given the conditions - not real hot. Something like 245 max. But I didn't run all that many laps either so take that into account. Still; all good.

Here's a quick pic of the car from the weekend's rain-soaked event.
It's been through a few updates, graphics and rims, etc:

Next track event is coming up this weekend. Car is still loaded on the trailer from my May event. Absolutely ZERO maintenance performed. Everything was good, the mileage has been low the past 2 weekends so I'm leaving things be.

Got some updates though...stay tuned! Or check out twitter for the most uptodate info!

I think after this 2-day event we'll be doing a lot of 'mid-season' maintenance. Oil, driveline fluids, etc.

Rolled the car off the trailer and onto the track this weekend - with excellent results! I'll have a full writeup later.

Of concern this weekend were the oil temps. Ambient was in the mid 80's and humid, which is the warmest trackday I've had this year, but it's going to get a LOT worse!
Also, due to the track configuration, we had some repeated instances of very high rpms (North of 7k; far north). And high rpms have always driven up my oil temps.

However, temps above 280 degrees make me uncomfortable. We're looking into a few options to help remedy the situation. Details to come... For more uptodate info; follow us on twitter @boomn29!

Are you running any upgraded oil cooler/radiator etc?

Oil Cooler - OEM. An upgraded unit is definitely on the table.

Radiator - running a slightly larger unit from Mishimoto. Running a mix is distilled water and redline water wetter

Got the Evo in the shop right now! Nothing bad; more preventative maintenance than anything. With a slight grind into 5th developing, I wanted to get this checked out and replaced as needed.

The car is currently at Boostin Performance. The trans has been pulled and Devin said it looks really good. We'll replace the syncro's and the clutch forks - assuming my syntax is correct! There's also a surprise that should definitely help the oil temps out. More to come on that...

Here's some pics:
