Review: PPI Intake
This is a review of the PPI Intake for Evo 8/9. They actually call it the 'PPI Turbo Intake Pipe' but it's all the same. Here's the direct link:

It's basically a hard intake pipe that replaces the crappy floppy stock rubber section between the turbo and whatever intake you run. The cool thing about the PPI offering is it'll work with the stock intake box and nearly any aftermarket one you might already have. Or you can upgrade and add on their filter offering.
I already had a K&N filter, so I used it. I'm still using the stock BOV on my IX (as it is pretty damn good as is) and everything connected up great with the supplied parts including clamps from PPI. I needed NO additional materials. Here's a pic installed:
Shortly after I installed this, I went to AMS for a retune. On 100 octane I put down about 350whp (weather corrected) on their Mustang dyno - or about 377whp dynojet converted. I'll paste in the vid below. I think PPI has a good product here! Thx guys!
