East Coast Performance Jacksonville, NC
Just wanted to give a review for the shop that just installed my Comp Twin Disc clutch. I've used them multiple times and have never thought to leave a review but figured now is better than never. Although the chief mechanic is a Honda Guy (won't hold it against him) he definitely knows his way around the Evo. He has performed my cam install, ACT clutch install, Shep tranny install, and now my Comp Twin Disc install. His prices are great and he has always looked out for me. If there are any other issues with your car he will let you know as soon as he comes across it. This is a big help to me. Today after the clutch install he took my car for the test drive and when he pulled it back in, him and some of the other guys actually washed my car. This is just a small thing to most, but to me it shows a shop that cares for the cars they are working on, even if it isn't their own.
To Jeff and the rest of the guys at East Coast Performance, thanks for the work, great prices, customer service, and always answering my questions.
If anyone in the Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville area is looking for a shop to do some work on their Evo, or any import for that matter don't hestitate to get up with Jeff at ECP on 24/258 right across from the Triangle Marine Federal Credit Union.
Thanks,
Ben

Jeff with the turbo Neon?? If so then I agree with what was said. He's a cool guy and does a great job. He did a buddy of mine's clutch a long while ago and it was a good price and quick. He was real cool to just shoot the **** with too.

Never seen him with or in a Neon. Looks like people with the name Jeff are just all around good people.

I am about to get stationed over there in a few weeks on Lejeune and I am definately looking for a shop close by to get work done on my car. I will definately check them out for my next few projects. I am in Cali now and got my first mods done and my clutch job is next ha ha.......blame it on that e85 torque

Why do you guys say that, I mean they do have E85 over there right? Or is it all the cops that r over there? I was over there a few weeks ago looking for a house and I was seeing cops at the cyclic rate. Here in Cali you might see one a day..........have you guys heard anything about this shop called national speed in wilmington. Any insights would help.........

^This. I think the closest E85 here is Newport. I've heard there is one in Wilmington, but if you're driving all the way down there for E85 to drive all the way back here then you've got money to burn.
The cops aren't too bad. Although they definitely have been cracking down on speeders and what-not lately. Don't drive like a jerk and I'm sure you will be just fine here.
And National Speed has a really nice facility. I wouldn't take my Evo there nor would I recommend anyone I know personally too. That's not really based on them being a bad shop, but I don't think I've run into one NS tuned Evo that was anything impressive. Heck, I might have run into one NS tuned Evo period. I don't know of anyone pretty much that takes their Evo there. Like I said they do have a nice facility though. That doesn't mean they can tune Evos.
Hopefully that helps!

Dont they sell E85 on the base itself? I checked the locator and they have it on the installation (Camp Lejeune) . Any of you guys military by chance? And where then would you recommend getting my work done. NS just quoted me $990.00 to do my clutch job!!!!! Yeah just for the labor.........

If you don't want to stay in town and want to take a road trip then yes, Spec Ops and Force Fed are located in Fayetteville and they do tons of work there. A lot more Evos in the Bragg area compared to the Lejeune area.

So recently I've been having a slight problem and want to know what it could be. When I press my brakes around speeds of 45+ there is a strong vibration in my steering wheel? And clues? Also would like to know of. Any places that specialize in evos other than force fed because is closed on the weekends-_-
Any suggestions as to where I can go?

Yeah East Coast has since closed down because I think that the owner was involved in some shady stuff or something like that. My buddy Sherman had his clutch put in by east coast and they didn't put the clutch in right from what I remember and also the downpipe bolt was missing for some reason. I remember seeing Ben's evo at East coast, they installed his buschur bottom end for him but unfortunately the motor gave out due to injector failure. The drive to Spec Ops or Force Fed is worth the money. Dougie24x, please join the facebook group "Jacksonville AWD Car meets" on facebook where we shed light to good shops in the area as well have meets quite often.
