how would these perform on the street Em ? i know your website say not intended for auto cross or road racing but what would be the issues with regular DD use ? faster rotor wear ?

I was wondering the same thing, I figured I could use the regular rotors and be good for street use.

I'm looking to do this on a 1G

Yes, The rotors and pads will wear out a bit faster than stock, that's for sure.

I also run these brakes, ive put a few street miles on them and they feel oem. In fact the first night driving with them a deer jumped out in front of me and the brakes worked flawless. NO ACCIDENT !! I had the same goals as the OP shed weight and run the rx7 wheels with QTP's and no spacers.

Thanks again STM for a great product that just simply works and looks awesome

Good save! lol.

I've had them on my car for a while now, lots of street driving (with some heavy braking) and so far 10+ passes at the track. They are holding up pretty good and was effortlessly able to stop at the track going 139mph.

Put almost 2,000 street miles on them so far, still look new. Lots of stop and go traffic and heavy braking, lol.

Only the front. But we do have a rear kit now as well.

6,000 miles now, they still look great. All street miles including some harsher stops from idiots on the road.

I know the cost is a bit more, but how is the longevity of the standard rotor vs scalloped? My car is mostly street, so is the trade-off of some more weight shaved worth it?

any track results before/after?

I am looking at front/rear/stm hydro stage brake & 2pc carbon driveshaft

i know i can just put a built motor in my car for probably the same price of all these items and run more boost but i would like to see how far i can push my car while still retaining the stock bottom end

i would like to make it into the lower half of the 10's

I am also thinking of switching to the scalloped rotors in my car. It see's usually 2-3k street miles a year.
