Wow, that's the first I've heard that they've done this to a customer. I WAS going to bring my STi and EVO there to get tuned. I guess not anymore. Pretty sad that they did this.
They are also on www.wrxatlanta.com

BTW, did you contact the Fraud Department for your bank company? My wife worked at a couple banks and mentioned you should be able to do this without a problem. Unless, like you said, they told you it's was too far back to put in a claim.

They are chasing another local shop here in Atlanta called Forged Motorsports. They used to be all about Evo's and 350's. Now they are turning into one of the pre-eminent shops for GT-R's. Topspeed is trying to be like them (to me).
SOme locals have been tuned by them on both ECUFlash and AEM and the results were less then stellar esp. when it comes to part throttle drivability.

After I posted this here and on a couple other forums I magically got my check for the refund. I waited a few weeks after I deposited it to verify that it cleared and there weren't any further issues.
I usually think pretty highly of a shop that makes a mistake and corrects it quickly. Taking 9 months to fix your error is unacceptable to me. So at least I finally got the money back but not in a timely or easy fashion.

THey are hit and miss. Another local got his car re-tuned by them and slayed a Liter bike. He swears by them. I have no clue why they are so inconsistent.
I do think the above is the exception and not the rule.

Here is what I think what the problem is with shops in the GA, most namely TopSpeed and Forged Performance, its lack of options. There's not many good reputable tuner shops in the area so these shops charge high prices because of lack of competition. I think the quality of service with these shops is OK at best nothing special. The reason why these shops have such good resources is because of their higher end customers. Both shops have plenty of GTR and Porsche owners that throw ridiculous money at them no matter what and thats how they are able to withstand mistakes like this all the time with the lower end evo sti customers.
