Very disappointed with AMS!

Up until now AMS has always been good to me. With good parts and the records to stand behind them, this why I have purchased almost all of my parts from them. And have had them tune my car as well. So recently I purchased some more parts from them through a local shop and when ordering the parts it was specifically mentioned that we would want them to tune it when it was done and asked for at least a note to be added to our order. Now after installing the parts, called them up to finalize the tune date and they have changed there policy since ordering the parts and no longer do outside tuning. They only tune the cars that they build in house. So even though we asked for a tune when we order the parts, weeks before they changed there policy, they won't tune the car. Which is shady business and poor customer service in my opinion! Needless to say I will be taking my business else where and to a more service friendly tuner. Sad to see that AMS has changed so much in the wrong direction.*

Clearly they're not concerned about you getting a tune elsewhere if they refused to tune it .

That's unfortunate man, do you have any other tuner you could use?

But when you get your car tuned you sign a waiver so that they aren't held responsible.. Makes no sense to me.

Very true. It's sad because I did really like them up until this point and always recommended them too. To bad they have gone a different direction..

Take your car for dyno tune or dyno runs.

1. Most of shops will ask owner to sign on paper that they are not responsible for your car and you understand that they pushing to limit.

2. If something go wrong from installation, shop will fix it. You need to pay labor to them. Shop still makes money.

That sucks. I love AMS parts. I too think they just dont have the time for evos no more and can make more money on GTRs.

Im sure those that can obviously afford a GTR, have a lot more money to put in there cars! Either way, they said they are only tuning cars they build in house. Having the money is one thing, but half of the fun is building it yourself!

Hey bro! I almost sent you a text the other day just to say hi. Sorry to hear about your experience with AMS. What kind of new goodies did you get? I'm guessing you and I won't be neck and neck at the track anymore
