Another sad sad story. None of us will ever truly know who said what when and who said what back other than the dudes at AMS and the OP so to that I will say this: If you take the money then you are obligated to render service. If you are too busy to do that and taking care of the customer, within the service industry, where the customer is always right is not real high on your list of things to do then you deserve to get flamed, put on blast and you should probably be reported to the better business bureau. Because if this isn’t the first time someone else in the thread has heard something like this about said establishment… then there is probably some credence to what is being said about this particular area of the way that you conduct business and you may want to address it before it get too out of control. But I have also found that agencies that DO actually conduct themselves in the manner that the OP is referring to really don’t care regardless about who says what because they don’t think karma ever catches up but it’s whatever just my .02

In the end of the day OP I'm glad you got taken care of.

I think you're missing the point that Travis emailed me and asked to have the car checked out. I agreed and told him to come by. And I replied quickly enough to be thanked for the quick response! The next email I received from Travis was telling me that it got tuned at another shop without giving us the chance to look it over.

I should refund the tune money? The car ran great. The tune was great. He said that. It needed the idle adjusted. That's all.

And there's a lot more to these interactions than Travis tells. I'm not going to continue trying to recall each and every word said between us.

You can all take from this what you want. Sometimes people don't see eye to eye on things. But if you want to try and blanket statement say our customer service sucks and this and that bad stuff about us, so be it. We've been in business for 10 years. We take pride in our work and do all we can for every customer that comes through the door. Some people are harder to please than others. But it's a give and take world. The saying isn't always true, I've seen quite a few wrong customers.

Bash away. I'm done posting in this thread.

Cory

Cory I don't get how you can just say there were mistakes made all you keep doing is blaming me. Did the car run good at idle yes WOT yes but almost ever other time I stop it would start to stall out. I called emailed mason for three days before the phones were shut down. You respnded to one email quick and I did thank you but then I responded and again nothing. So after all I put up with and didn't make a big deal out of I had enough. I felt I had to go somewhere else. If you cared and wanted my business and to take care of me I shouldn't have to call call call and email. Not once did you ever try to call and figure something out and you have no phone so I can't call you. Sorry you put me in a corner and went somewhere else you absolutely should do something to make it right. On top of that I have to pay to get that o2 housing put on at a later date that's and couple hundred. Why do I deserve to get stuck with all that

If I was going to bash you I wouldn't go out of my way to compliment Adam and Dan and all the work done.

There are the A-List shops and then all the others. The "others" are always quick to take money and take on jobs but most aren't staffed or qualified to perform quality work in a timely manner. The problem is these "other" shops are almost always cheaper and people are always trying to save a buck. Travis may not have handled some things correctly but his story is a Microcosm of how these "other" shops work. These shops are cheaper for a reason. It's called cheap labor which is almost always unqualified labor.

Another thing to note is how so many people still have shops order their parts. I would figure in 2013 that most people can spend 10minutes on the web and cut out the middle man to save some money.

I did learn my lesson about having a shop order my parts. ..

As far as everything with AMS and Cory I dont even want the full refund I understand he has to pay dan. He charged me 500 so if he refunded 350 I would consider everthing even but I highly doubt he would give me anything. I guess I can always keep my fingers crossed and hope he wants to make this situation right...

If they don't do anything to resolve it by Friday I plan on going to the better business reporting them. I glad someone on here understands what I deal with every day being a vet.

Dude i just got off the phone with USAA they said i should be able to get my money back and i have to write a letter as my car was in the shop since last September(in 2012) and i just towed it back home yesterday(in 2013 as in 06-17-13) if you paid through Debit/credit you only have 60 days to Direct dispute after 60 days you have to write a letter to claims so i would not waste any more time, Since i paid MOstly through Cash i can only hope of getting $2600.00 back i will see what the better buisness would do about my cash i paid.

that is absolutely true. The problem is so bad that there are now laws on the books that prevent payday loan places from opening up within a certain distance from AFB's because of the predatory lending they do. I don't know if these guys are that way or not (though it sounds like they are not), but some businesses see returning troops as young guys with money, maybe some hazard pay or an enlistment bonus, and a sports car. That puts the target directly on your wallet. And since soldiers are naturally trusting because they're part of an organization where trust means everything...well...you guys get burned a lot and it's not right.

Stay safe.

ya Bro thats exactly what they Do thanks and i have notice one other thing also a lot of the shops that do repairs/mods they are now into buying expensive NEW CARS and they make payments on it Most of these guys cannot afford to pay 1400 a month on one car with 2000-4000 a month on shop rent and with 3 or four employees with minimum 2000-4000 in employee pay and etc overhead so they over book appointments and rush jobs or leave jobs in the middle that are already paid for and get in new customers and just do all around bad business

@ MR05

Bro i just called ny dmv and ny attorney General and i am filling out forums of complaint againt toplevel and i just found out that top level never had a lisence to perform repairs or modification on cars ever

You should do the same call maryland dmv and find out if the alantic motorsports have a lisence to perform repairs and modifications on vehicles

and call maryland attorney general they work kind of like how we have inspector general in the army i dont know about other services but they take your complaint and purse it
