From what I understand, these are a very good compromise between a street and track setup. With the rebound set to soft the ride is better than stock. That is because the stock struts have a low spring rate but are pretty highly damped. The Ohlins are better than the KW V3s. I had a friend that owned the KWs and he switched to the Ohlins. Some vendors however promote the KWs.
These are the older Sportline (or R&T) model of the Ohlins. The DFVs are supposedly better but with the Vishnu/Gerard valving, I think for the $$s you would have a nice coilover set. If I had not bought another set of Ohlins I would have bought these. Paul Gerard did extensive research (shock dyno and road and track testing) to get the most out of this setup.
Keep in mind that stiffer springs are just that--stiffer. This is true even with the valving. I had different coilovers with these rates and I would characterize it as the inital feel over a bump is a bit harder but the reaction to the bump is softer--if that makes sense. For racing the stock suspension is way to soft. If you are really going to autox or race your car you need to go stiffer to be competitive (unless you are staying in stock class). If you are not going to race I would suggest getting a set of the Bilsteins that are on the MR.
