Quicktime should work as quicktime 6 uses mpeg4 by default. Sorry, i haven't used media player in like 5 years, so I'm not sure about the status of the codecs there.

PS.: if you're running a firewall, you can open up the bit torrent ports (I forgot what they are, but it will speed things up instead of going http).
