Wow! This has to be the most active forum on the web!
Thanks for everyone’s input.
I updated my profile as both the WRX & M5 have been gone for awhile.
My goal is something that is incredible fun to drive, safe, reliable and a daily driver. I know there are many cars between the two but for me they are the only real solutions. AWD, manual trans, great handling and braking, turbo charged, easily tuned and with a track record of tuning. I have driven the Audi s4 and that it would be a great car with 50 more hp and a better suspension and brakes. Maybe the RS4 will be the ticket-but not easily tuned.
And yes the reason I posted here was that I know Vishnu has some experience with tuning 996tt.
Anyone know of a new MR in the Chicagoland area that I can drive?

Should be a no-brainer for the twin turbo.....but, since you already have a porsche, get the MR and beat the sh*t out of it!

If I had to worry about a budget, I don't believe I should even be considering the TT Porsche..... OTOH, if it was just a matter of choice, I think I'd get the Porsche in a NY minute....
Actually, I have a '05 MR that I would trade for a TT Porsche right now if I could afford it

My uncle's friend had a Porsche and he loved it.....he had a GT2 with like $40K in mods.....pushing like 700 hp, but he traded it for a saleen S7. Anyways, the 996TT is a badass car. But if ur on a budget, go for the EVO MR. Its a sweet ride and has everything that u mentioned before: AWD, turbo, 6-speed manual, fast, easy to mod.....its a perfect car. Oh well, good luck with whatever car u choose!
