How is a knock buffer supposed to help with this?

I believe a knock buffer is the only way to view/log knock correctly.

AFAIK, out knock buffer is the only device that doesn't degrade the factory knock signal.

Shiv, I believe ECU+ does not either.

"Dedicated knock sensor input conditioning circuitry and post-processing - won't load down your knock sensor and doesn't use cheap, always-on knock sensing like many more-expensive engine management systems and standalone "knock display" units - the ECU+ does knock sensing just like the stock ECU does"
