Here are some other questions I would of asked:
Will they let us work on our cars on the dyno?
Will they be providing mechanic shop time also? If so, what rate?
Can they provided race gas? If so how much?
Do they stock MBC's, vacuum hoses, BOV's and T-bolt/worm clamps?
Also, the rate decrease, $90/car from $75/hr, has me baffled.
$75X10 hrs= $750
$75X11 hrs=$825
$90X8 cars= $720
Also, why should the guy that takes 45 minutes have to pay the same price as a guy who takes 1.5-2hrs?

Good points.

I don't think so. But what would you have to work on while the car is on the dyno? I'm sure Shiv can take care of everything while the car is there.

It differs. What do you need to be done? If you guys want to buy/install parts while your there, hit me with a PM, I'll get you a good price quote.

There is no race gas there, but there is 94 octane available like 4 miles away, currently around 2.45 a gallon. If you want race gas, I recommend buying a 5 gallons of vp street blaze 103.

Yup.

Good question there. But how would we divide it up then? What about the time it takes to get the car on and off the dyno? A flat rate per a car keeps things simple. I think that is why Shiv is offering a flat rate per his tuning. I'm sure Shiv has a general set time about an hour per a car. And he included that in the pricing he gave. Without a flat fee it would be much more complicated. What if it takes Shiv 2 hours to tune a car, and another car just one? How is that fair to the person who got 2 hours of tuning for the same price as someone who only got one?

The reason for working on the car on the dyno is due to boost leaks, fouled plugs, BOV replacement etc. These can all be fixed on the dyno by the owner most of the time. I am sure the guys at Axiom don't want to be moving the same car on and off the dyno. I know, if my car starts to have a problem I want to be able to look and fix it if it's simple.
Providing a mechanic and lift is for people that have clogged cats or other hard to diagnois events.
I have never seen Shiv adjust his price for cars that take too long (unless it is a turbo upgrade). Most of the time, cars only go over 15-20min.
I think the dyno time starts as soon as they start taking the wheels off the car. Of course, if this takes more then 15mim people may start getting upset. If the tuning session takes 1.25 hours then he pays the pro-rated price, IMHO
