Shiv Help! MY 280 Cam Flash Stinks!

Does the car just not pull that hard or does it pull and then misfire and fall on it's face?
Put the stock air box back on. You might try checking your spark plug gap too. With that much boost you probably need to close them up a little.
Isn't -2/-2 the recommended cam timing from Vishnu? I know that's what they told me for my 272's and it pulls like hell up top.

Ok can you help by spelling out your mods? I guess you have the following:
Flash
280 cams
Cam gears that are at 0
Walbro Fuel pump
Some kinda intake
EBC
And an exhaust?
Im sure you know that you are choosing your own kinda mod path with the EBC, CAI, and cam gear settings from what Vishnu recommends. I think it is important to point out that added mods greatly complicate matters and I would really suggest that you set aside a weekend to reinstall your factory airbox and to connect the factory boost lines like Vishnu wants. This way you can always add mods back one by one to determine if one is at fault. Also not to scare you but timing issues are common with cam and cam gear installs. Who put those in?

something is definately wrong. Hopefully you haven't been messing with things that you shouldn't be. Like messing with the EBC w/o a tune. On a side note the HKS RS acts really funky unless you are customed tuned for it. My friends know from bad experiences.

Yea, I will try swapping to the stock airbox.....as far as the plugs go, they are brand new. I should proboly gap them smaller.
But here is the scenario: 3rd gear pull goes like this
-3k throttle to the floor
-boost climbs steady to 23pounds
-nice, linear pull till around 4200, then car really starts pulling hard
-at about 5200, it lets off a little, and maintains the constant acceleration till 7800
What I dont get is, shouldn't the 280 give me more up top? It feels like the same as it was with the stock cam in?

The intake used to make my car run lean, but then I got a flash to match my mods. I now have a second flash after I installed the cam. I keep thinking the flash is the problem, because the car ran great with the first flash.

The difference between your two flashes is incremental. Not enough to degrade performance in any conceivable way. The other changes you made to the car were:
-Cam Gear
-280 exhaust cam
Leads me to believe the problem is in there. When you installed the cam gear, did you line things up with the white mark we painted on the tooth to the right of the "0" mark? Or did you line things up to the "0" mark? If you did the latter, you are off 7 degrees of cam timing which would explain why your car is slower now! Bring cyl 1 to TDC (by the markings on the crank pulley) and lets see where all the marks on the cam gears and valve cover line up to each other
