Shiv Help! MY 280 Cam Flash Stinks!
Hey Shiv, my buddy and I (he has an IX with MBC and Jegs Cutout, No Flash!!) were "accelerating" on an on ramp from about 40mph up to 80 and I couldn't shake him. He stayed right there with me all three times.
The thing is that he is only runnin 15psi!!!! I have an MR, with the stock gauge saying 1.5 bars of boost. My boost controller confirms that. I have the Cam gear set at 0 and it runs smoothly.
The car pulls hard from 4k-5k, then it flattens out from there till 7800. Is it a problem with the flash? I have a check engine light with a P0300 multiple misfire code, and I'm running straight 93 octane.
Please Help!!!
P.S. we were NOT street racing, merely accelerating to cruising speed for the interstate

nope....i had driven his car just before, and you have to pop the hood to adjust it. Even then, with my mods, I should have pulled on him without even trying! He doesnt even have a flash!

You should get your car straight before running it hard with those mods or your next thread will be "I just spent $4k on this motor and all I got was this lousy broken piston". It sounds like you may be running lean or knocking after 5k and your ecu is saving you from destruction. Throw your stock intake back on and see how she runs...
