New Jersey Dyno Day 10/25/2003

Mid-Atlantic Vishnu XEDE install and tuning day hosted by BM Tranny in Bound Brook, NJ.

My thanks to Doc for doing all the leg work, to Shiv for his tuning genius, and to BM for hosting us (right smack in the middle of their move to a new location).

My Stage One delivered 314.06 HP / 277.83 TQ making the 531 mile round trip well worth it.

I've had it now for 7 months and 9,000 miles and I continue to be impressed with this car!

Robert's car made 320 hp after you left. My car and Troy's car, the 2 other Stage 1's, made 310 and 311 hp. My car feels much smoother. The idle also improved. Couldn't really test it out on the way home, between the NJ troopers and NJTP traffic jams.

I'm interested to hear Doc's numbers after having the new cat installed.

Quick question:

Since your graph shows the A/F ratio, where do they screw in the wide-band A/F sensor? In the stock location?

A/F ratios were collected by the wide-band sensor from the dyno. The sensor was inserted into the exhaust outlet in the same manner followed when conducting emissions testing.

I posted at first on evo general... here are my complete #s (I will post scanned chart soon I hope!) 320.07 whp and max torque 285.53! That was accomplished by Shiv w/only 3 pulls on the dyno (Kudos to JFH for being first and all the calibration!) I was very impressed with Shiv and his calm demeanor - and obvious skill with his product. Thanks to doc for putting all this together for us all! And to the guys at B&M tranny for their willingness to help us all out (going WAY out of their way for myself and us all) and hosting the event!

I too was impressed with everyone attending this event. We all had a great time and know our cars are now optimized for the mods we are running.

Here are my results running Stage 0, with downpipe and cat delete or Stage 1 minus the cam gears...whatever way you want to look at it, on 94 octane: 311.36 HP / 280.53 TQ

Driving impressions... stab the gas on I95 in fifth and you're hitting 125mph in a heartbeat! Incredibly fast.

Yup - it's true!

Yeah - my numbers are identical to evoate =
311hp/280lb.ft. When Shiv installed the XEDE, I ran 309hp with a beautiful curve. Ended up with 311 and the "beautiful" curve!

Shiv was EXTREMELY nice.
& a big thanks to BM Tranny (Junior) for the Cam Gear installs first thing in the morning
