Cam Gears
Vishnu,
I purchased a stage 1 signature for the Evo 8 about a month ago. I had a friends shop install the parts. They installed everything except for the cam gears. (Waiting for a tool to come in).
My questions. Since all the parts are suppose to be put on together, Is it OK to drive the car without the cam gears?
Does it harm the car in anyway?
Thanks

It really does not matter much but if you have Xede upload the stage 0+downpipe map until you get your gears installed but it should not hurt it much anyway. The stock computer will pull timing to compusate for the aggressive stage1 map. I would suggest not to drive the car to hard and stay out of boost until you get the gears in. The Gears help the cars knock risistents so you can run more aggresive timing and leaner A/Fs.

Cam Gears
Eric,
I am running the Xede.
I'm probably not going to drive the car until I have the Gears installed. I also have to send it up to you guys to get it Flashed.
Thanks
