Xupdate - where is it on vishnus site?
I was reading the instructions on how to upload maps to the Xede unit. The instructions state to download Xupdate. The only reference I found to Xupdate was on this page: http://www.vishnutuning.com/xede_readme.htm
When I click on the link on that page (http://www.vishnutuning.com/xede/XUpdate.zip) to download Xupdate, I get "HTTP 404 Error: The page cannot be found".
Anyone know where to get Xupdate from?
Thanks.

It's obsolete and no longer to be used. Follow this link to the most current version of XMAP to use. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=69881

Ok, thanks all. It appears that their website instructions are out of date. I figured Vishnus site will be upto date for their customers. I doubt that every customer hangs our on this forum. Also it is easy to miss stuff like that if you are new to Xede and not cought up on all the devel work yet.
This leads to me to another question then:
The instructions on how to upload maps to Xede (http://www.vishnutuning.com/files/ev..._Map_Files.doc) state this:
"Do not download the XMap tuning software as it will require an unlocking code which is only granted upon its purchase. "
Are these instructions out of date then too? Will I need that unlocking code if I download the latest version of Xmap as you guys are stating? I do not have that code... I bought the Xede used and the original purchaser never requested the code upon purchase (I asked).

You will not need an unlocking code for XMAP, it's free.
The how-to for the install is pretty accurate, just any referrences to Xupdate and Xmap may be inaccurate and out dated. He had Xupdate removed from his site, but has not gotten around to updating instruction and referrences to it.

Don't do this. This is outdated software and is not 100% compatible with the current XEDE firmware. This is why it has been removed from the website months ago. Go ahead and uninstall it from your computer.
If you haven't been doing so already, please use XMAP (which is freeware) for all your uploading, downloading and tuning needs![Smilie](https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Boy - Let me summarize it to see if I got it right finally:
Xupdate 2.0.0.0: used to upload maps to Xede and update firmware - BUT do not use it for uploading maps as there is a bug (use Xmap instead). Use only to uploading firmware.
Xmap 2.0.1.1: to create, change maps and to upload maps to Xede
Am I finally understandig this correctly? Thank you all for your help!
