Due to intake restrictions? How would it look when tuning if this were the case?

Definitely. Can't deny the bang for the buck here.

The hotside increases lag, the tube header decreases it.

But I have no experience with that donkey **** that you CA guys call 91 octane.

I can't get any more boost out of my turbo on race gas. And ambient temperature plays a large part in the amount of mass airflow you measure with the MAF. I run 30+psi at around 5000RPM, and 24psi in hot weather at redline. 26psi in cold weather at redline, and I gain 2 to 3lb/min (each of which equate to about 10hp). So 41lb/min in hot weather, and 44lb/min in cold weather.

If you are talking pump gas, then there may be some gains to be had, but I doubt it.

EZ, you don't have a sheetmetal intake yet, do you? I'd think there should be some gains there as well, even with the stock turbo...

Incidentally, I ran 11.825@117.55mph with a 1.676 60-ft last night at the track with my Evo III 16G (which has the same compressor and exhaust wheel as the Evo VIII, I believe, just mirror images). There is a lot of potential in a 16G!

Shape,

What cam setup did you end up with, as you talked about trying different ones.
