RESULTS: Stage 1+ w/ DNP manifold, O2 housing, Titanium 16G w/ 10.5 Housing

ETHAN.117:
  • XEDE w/ XEDEFlash
  • HKS 264/272 cams
  • Vishnu signature series dump-back exhaust w/ high flow cat
  • Samco I/C hoses
  • 100 octane
Added in ETHAN.144:
  • DNP exhaust manifold (Jet Hot 2000-coated)
  • Evo 6.5 TME turbo (titanium big 16G w/ 10.5cm^2 turbine housing)
  • DNP O2 housing (Jet Hot 2000-coated)
  • MR diverter valve
  • Denso 720cc injectors
  • Thermal wrapped downpipe
Picked up about 15 peak whp but I am pretty darn surprised by how much midrange torque I picked up!

Nice.. Its definitely nice to see my efforts won't be wasted (I have a similar combo).. Nice numbers..

Is the turbo the real TME turbo? or the TD05HRA-16G6-10.5t?

It is indeed the turbo from the Evo 6.5 RS TME.

MalibuJack, thanks very much for inspiring this set-up!

You should try the GM Solenoid mod with the XEDE.. you can get the car to spool even earlier..

[EDIT] Sorry Dave and Shiv, I got a little excited that I never really completed my thought.. my point was you can gain some improvement in the boost stability, and how the boost comes on by using a restrictor system with a GM solenoid in place of the stock bleed system.. Sorry guys, it was an incomplete thought.. Too many late nights working on obscure projects..

Do you have your boost and AFR sheet to post up as well on the same runs? I would like to compair those as well. If so thanks.

Is it true that with the AEM it works better I know of a few who say it works much better with the new Gm solonoid. Why would it not work well with the Xede?

Very impressive with a cat and 100 octane. No CAT and C16 might equate to much higher dyno numbers.

Would you get similar results if you just upgrade the housing to the 10.5 over stock? I know some have hinted a little about this. But I am unsure how it would work. How much is this turbo and is it still a twin scroll if not what manifold do you need where can you get it. Sorry about all the ?'s just excited about this possible upgrade path.
