Yep, I have noticed that the cheaper dynos, Dynojet, Mustang, Dynapak etc will spit out a higher number, oh well I guess you get what you pay for.

I assume you also believe, by your use of the word "actual" that a stock evo has only 31 HP losses through the drivetrain (271 fhp - 240 whp = 31) to put this claim into perspective I have seen losses of 20whp on our dyno on a modified evo by merely switching on the AC

You can have your spot back of course, but if your problem is mechanical (and it sounds like it is), it needs to diagnosed before the dyno day. PM me your number if you don't mind.

Not to mention 10-12whp from underdrive crank pulleys (to spin accessories 10-15% slower). It always amazes me that so many people believe that drivetrain loss (wheels, tires, rotors, gears, axles, etc,.) account for such little parasitic loss.

A huge thanks to Andrew, as he (Dyno4mance) did the install. The quality of the work is awesome, and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend using his shop if you live in the SE.

As for my mods: Stage 1+ with 264 camshafts on both sides, titanium 10.5cm^2 16G, and a tubular manifold. I can't wait to see what the results are on race gas. I hope the clutch can take it.

Seth
Noize,

Why did you go with the 264's and not the vishnu preferred combo of 264,272?

Simple: Idle quality and the fact that output differences in the different HKS cam combos is slightly noticable, but still pretty negligable.
