Using washer fluid
How many of you guys use straight washer fluid for injection? I am debating running a water injection setup, but anything more than 1/gallon washer fluid or 1/gallon distilled water will be too expensive to keep up.
My car is a daily driver so I would like to keep the associated costs as low and practical as possible. If windshield washer fluid is an adequate fluid to use, I will be much more likely to use water injection. However, if buying 5-11 dollar/gallon containers of methanol or ethanol are required, it will become much less attractive.
Any input from tuners as far as their experience with windshield washer fluid would be helpful.

You can use winshield washer fluid with the SMC kit I sell
Main thing is to stick with one brand as the methanol proportion varies
Also - you need to tune it for what kind of fluid you will use

I used to run washer fluid, (the winterized stuff with methanol in it).
Then I did the math.
I buy 2 gals of methanol from my local off-road buggy shop for $4 a gal.
I mix 50/50.
I have an '03 so I converted my intercooler sprayer resevior. If you coil the drain tube up around the neck it holds 1.5 gals.
So .75 gals of meth = $3 and .75 gals of distilled water = .75 cents
Total to fill = $3.75
I boost always, every gear to redline. I also have a 150psi pump with big injector.
I pushing a 15% WI to fuel mixture.
and the resevior last at least 3 tanks of gas.
I've NEVER run out.
So 3 tanks of gas devided into $3.75, that's only $1.25 per tank!!!
Can't get much cheaper.
It's like running race gas always.

its very hard to keep 50/50 lighted. If thats your concern, go with a lower methyl alcohol content. Remember, just run that particular mixture you are tuned for.
