4) How does the MAF and Boost controlled unit work vs. just the MAF controlled? Which would be better for a IX?

Why would upgrading turbos make the MAF feature useless?

Also, for folks that run the fuel lines under the car, where do you mount the SI unit? Thanks

Upgrading turbos usually puts you to the point where you are pegging your maf sensor and you eventually need to switch to a stand alone, and the 2d unit works by using both the maf input and the boost input to decipher how much power to give to the pump at any given moment...If you run them under the car, you can mount the SI just about anywhere in the engine bay, I have put them on the strut bars, battery, custom brackets, maf (double sided tape) and just about anywhere else you could fit it...even in the fender...

Hey Dan, I am having a small issue. My safeinjection led(yellow one) is coming on, but so is my green led. It also is not cutting boost. I am injecting(I was datalogging it when this was happening) like I am supposed to but I dont know why the amber led keeps coming on. Its been working fine until yesterday. What could it be? Thanks!
Alex
btw the only thing Ive done related to the system since yesterday is disconnect my wiper hose so the alky would stop spraying on my hood.

couple quick questions...

1. seems like people hook the Safe Injection directly to the battery with a fuse just incase the pump goes out somehow...

is this a good idea? the directions say not to do so....

2. i asked before but i dont remember.... i havent touched the pump setting since i got it... should i leave it alone or where should it be set to.. highest lowest middle... or do they ALWAYS set them to the proper level.

thats all for now... finally ready to get tuned, i think lol

i wish i had some1 to look everything over to make sure its 100%... if i blow it up im gonna spend 500$ on parts to make it look like i havent touched it so the dealer fix's it lol

cheers!

I drew a little diagram for the safe injection solenoid.

i dont fully understand how its installed...

i know 2 goes to the waste gate and thats about it...

where does 3 go to... boost controller? to what nozzle? turbo or wastegate?

after it leaves there it hooks up to the T-fitting then back to one... where does the 3rd end go to?

it says intake boost source... is that the turbo itself?

im soooooo lost, i thought it was going to be super simple thanks!

thanks!!!

sounds good, if you hook it up wrong it will make you run 14psi, so you will know right away...
