Nope, this is Greg in Colorado. I think Dan scans these boards too, though. Interesting idea...

Dan H.:

I might also use the evo charge spray reservoir eventually, but for now I'll just use the snow one.

I have an 04 so my stock res is a tighter fit and lower, not to mention my pump is mounted adjacent to that area. But I may still try it later on.

What did you use to reduce the opening where the little stock denso sat?

I left the denso in, I just drilled another hole and installed the fitting in it.

So you can also rinse down the IC with the stock system using the same fluid used in the WI spray, pretty clever.

I was thinking,

If for some reason the pump draws current and melts a fuse, what happens to the SI input to route out for the trigger voltage? Well if that happens we're screwed. It is for this reason I plan to install a 13 amp fuse at the pump to melt in that case allowing the SI to reamain powered up by the 15 amp "key on" and, in my case, energizing the WGact solenoid.

What do you think?

One or two more weeks and my WM project will finally be done, every thing is located under hood - pump, reservoir, VC25D, SI except for the indicating lights and the circuit I stole from the denso motor fuse (I ran new harness from under dash to bay).

I didnt use any of the supplied mounting or wiring hardware - I soldered all electrical points insulating with JB Weld and had to hand fabricate (using dremmles, files, dril, hacksaw, sand paper, and hammers) mounts for the pump, units, and reservoir to accomidate my choice of locations. Consequentially this project, perhaps overengineered, has nevertheless taken much time and has driven my wife bananas from the odd hours spent in the garage. I fear she will set the car ablaized once finished.

It will pay off I hope but I probably won't get tuned till June/July

Nice update, the fuse idea is great, will add that to mine when I get a chance, it will be all worth it when you get to up the boost, I just began seriously tuning mine and have the traps up to 114.69 with a rolling start, cars a blast to drive...

Dan, how many threads remain visible on your pump fittings? I tightened mine to spec (which were only half way in) and the pressure side leaked. So I tightened it until the leak stopped and then another 1/4 turn - ended up with 1 -2 threads remaining visible.

By the way the installation is finished. Works great, I started getting nuisance safe injection faults causing 12 psi boost then I remembered the SI comes with the pump-on/SI-on delay set to 0 so I adjusted it and now it works great.

Now I have to wait until the next available Dynoflash to get tuned. I definately got some power without tuning though, the VC/MAF kicks asse.

yea its only a couple threads visible I think I had 3 for mine, congrats on finally getting it all done, you will love it once you get tuned. Keep me updated...

Even without being tuned I swear the car picked up power. I got the 375ml/min with full pump setting and it doesnt bog, but ramps up rather smoothly to the MBC established 23 psi.

1st gear sees only 1 psi less than 3rd (never seen that before).

I thought alcohol untuned was supposed to run like crap but I was wrong.

You could wire an SPDT relay to to trigger the corrent failsafe output if power is ever lost after the fuse. This way it is a manual trigger that bypasses the system if the SI loses power and cant accomplish this. This could be accomplished internally by the manufacturer (hint, hint)

quick question. I've been reading many of the posts about alky and such..pretty much all my questions were answered but i would like to know what is your recommendation for this particular kit (snow performance alky kit).

taking in all considerations such as seals lasting, expense, power, pulling water from a moisture in the air, evaporations, etc. which is better to run with snow performance alky kit:
meth or alcohol?
also is it better 50/50 or 100%?
I know i know its been asked but i just want to know opinions for this kit specifically. For example, can the seals in this kit handle 100% meth?

No kit can last on 100% besides maybe the newest coolingmist kit but the SP kit can last for a while but its not suggested. I have been self tuning and testing the different mixtures of meth and I can barely run any more boost or timing on 100% vs 50% so I suggest just using the 50% as it is safer on car and makes nearly the same power.

Hi there, just wondering what your AFRs are through the rpm range....when tuning with pure MeOH vs. 50/50?

100% I run 11.9 down to 11.6 and 50% I run 11.6 down to 11.3
