I have both units installed under my passenger seat. Is there going to be any issue running the vacuum hose for my boost source that far? The hose is about 3.5 feet in length from the engine to the unit under my seat.

I am getting the Snow Performance Stage II kit. What size nozzle do I need to run and when tuning what AFR do you shoot for? Where is the best place to put the nozzle in the piping?

I wouldnt think so but to be on the safe side go to the forum on snowperformance.net and ask Snowtech2 (Dan). He's the engineer that designed that unit and would know for sure. Or you can call SP and ask for the Tech phone #.

  1. Likely 375ml/min
  2. ?
  3. As close to throttle body as possible for max antidetonant results (most timing) or further away for cooler charge (good for race gas)

Not a problem at all, my hose is about the same length on my kit.

Let me know when you are ready for a kit I can take care of that for you. I usually send evo owners the 375 and 625 combo and tell them to start with the 375 unless they are using something in the 35r range. Tuning AFR's depend on what % methanol you are spraying. When you figure out what % you would like to know I can help you pick a safe AFR but typically that decision is left up to the tuner of your car and what they feel is a safe AFR. The best place of nozzle is about 6 inches from TB but there are times when its easier to mount a little farther away which will work as well.

I'm setting up this alky kit for a 3065 turbo. Should I start out with the 625 injector, then?

UCC, one quick question to give me a little better idea:

Your at 11.3 - 11.6 with 75% methyl alcohol, with the same map without any spray what A:F would you be at? 12.5?

Thanks

I ask because in the meantime I may have to blindly tune on top my existing custom tune conservatively (only if posible) without any logging to get me by.

Basically mailflash myself with the cable for the alcohol to get a little timing and dry it out a bit

I would stay with the 375 it should be more than enough but when you bring it to get tuned bring the 625 nozzle and the tuner can make the final decision.

The afr would be a little higher than 12.5 off meth, more in the 13s as I have mine spraying a lot of methanol due to personal tuning reasons...I would definitely suggest waiting till you get tuned, tuning should be left to individuals that know what they are doing otherwise you could destroy your motor very quickly...

Thanks Dan,

I was wondering if there is a window of safe operation to basically add say, a tapering 25% timing to existing + DF timing but only where kit pump see's full 12Vdc (max spray: 5000 RPM - 7200 RPM ).

I will leave the A:F untouched since H2O will be 50+%.

I have a feeling adding 25% of existing timing wont give any more than like 12 degrees anywhere and almost nothing at 7200 where my car has a history of knock

Where are you guys tapping for a boost source. The tees given in the kit are very small like the little plastic black hose for the controller. All of my boost lines are a little larger in diameter. What did you do?
