Introducing the new HFS-1 system by Aquamist

Here is an opportunity for those who want to try out our latest single stage water injection system with DDS3v8 failsafe incorporated.

The HFS-1 system comprised of:
The system can be triggered by either boost or fuel duty %. A line valve controls the flow of water within 1/100th of second after the pump is activated. Water pressure is regulated by three internal by-pass valves within the 150W Shurflo pump.
Three water jets 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0mm is supplied. Two brass hard pipe adaptors and a y-piece are supplied with the system. A very comprehensive set of fitting and hose is included with the exception of a water tank.
As usual, a high degree of options for the two “failsafe” outputs, enabling user to switch map, lower boost when “low flow”, “high flow” and “no flow” is detected.

The system is highly competent in its own right easily upgradable to any one of the higher HFS end systems in the future with minimum component redundancy.

Please post any questions regarding the system here.

Richard does it need an outside switch to turn it on?

The system is a single stage system. Injection is triggered by the DDS3v8 junction box.

The junction box reads sensor signal from the MAP sensor. User can set the trip point with a small potentiometer on the DDS3 Junction box.

Alternative, you can configure the DDS3v8 to read fuel duty cycle % to trigger the system.

is there an advantage or disadvantage to each of the 3 trigger methods?

water/meth

It might sounds silly, but I am new to water/meth and still learning
Can the system be used with meth too?if yes can the percentage be adjusted on it?like say go 50/50?

I missed the last group buy on these and would really like to get in on this one. What are the steps that need to be taken?

FYI, this is actually a new kit. The previous Aquamist GB was on the HFS-5. There is a GB on the HFS-5 being run by a 3rd party vendor in the vendor section.

I have given this a great deal of thoughts.

1) MAP sensor Trigger:
it is more stable as boost takes sometime to start and stop, the WI onset point is rarely affected by gear and throttle change.

2) FIDC trigger:
Some EMS cuts (instant DC drop) fuel during de-celleration or throttle shutting during gearchange. If the WI system is switching on/off during these transitions, so your boost pressure controller valve (if fitted).

3) Please remind me of the third trigger.

Probably need more input from some one else. I don't know the answer or merit of each mode.

Why not include a tank? Since one is needed for a this kit to be complete?

statix, A fluid supply tank can be easily sourced on the web.

Given that theres so many cars and so many desired setups and the fact that some users like a lot of methanol (= fuel cell) and some find that a simple 1 gallon washer works fine with a light water to methanol mix....its kind of hard to stock up on tanks and then make it profitable and cost effective to include in a kit. Look at the 1 gallon jr dragster fuel cells offered by Jegs and summit or the local speed shop, these work great for heavy methanol users. Look at the flambeau tanks....these seem to be perfect for most users and theres some choices. Or look on ebay theres a couple on there that seem to be inexpensive......look like the Flambeau's to me.

Instructions are included with the kit....a pamphlet with details about the components and some different wiring diagrams to help with 99% of this install scenarios. With the HFS-5 kit Richard included a generic wiring diagram/component schematic that was printed in color, I'm sure he will do the same with this one.
