The perrin kit is very much a plug and play system compared to HFS-5. For day to day usage, the perrin kit is *most* suitable. (corrected 22-Apr-07)

For all out power, the HFS-5 has more options.

The above conditions are mainly related to medium to WOT. For longer term economy, you need to have a higher CR.
How high can you raise the compression in a turbo engine like the Evo? I imagine you would shave the head vs. get new pistons. If you raise the compression, doesn't that essentially limit your car to operation with water injection all the time, or would the ECU pull timing because of detonation?

On the evo, you can raise the effective compression ratio by increasing the boost.

If you are raising the static compression ratio as described by you, you wil have to run WI from mid throttle onwards all the time.

So wouldI be correct in assuming that cruising on the highway at 3200 rpm, that the water injection would be of alomst near nil effect on increasing the fuel mileage?

If you inject water at those cruising conditions, you might get a degree of two advance due to absence of knock when the active knock control system slowly advancing the timing. Knock can exist because the afr is very close to stoichiometric
