Our Boost Bypass Kit is now in stock and available on the website:
http://www.labontemotorsports.com/st...ow/BBK-10.html

When used with the Injection Fail Safe (IFS-10), the Boost Bypass Kit will limit Turbo vehicles to wastegate boost pressure in the event the IFS-10 detects any system faults. The fast acting 3-way solenoid adds an additional level of safety for highly modified engines with water/methanol injection.

Best regards,

Dan

Thanks for the link, yep SMC and Coolingmist booth use a low side driver for pump control.

Well you can run the IFS-10 with battery power, there is no device limitation that prevents this. The unit will output +12v on the trigger wire since no flow. Once flow starts and gets above the set-point the trigger will go low. Same mode of operation as the Aquamist.

If your water injection is boost pressure controlled, just need to make sure that the controllers Start psi is lower then wastegate pressure. If your controllers Start psi is greater then wastegate pressure, the water injection system will never come on.

Best regards,

Dan

Keep it safe. If you're running a meth kit, a failsafe should be part of your system.

Was there any reason behind having the unit go high when there is a fault, rather than low?

I would think going low when there is a fault would ensure that a nc solenoid would be in position if anything went wrong, where by going high if your wire is not connected in the first place you will always be able to boost properly, possibly invalidating the failsafe's action if there is a mechanical fault between the trigger or wiring for the solenoid.

Most aftermarket ignition controllers (MSD, Accel) have an input for timing retard that is activated by the High signal. The AEM has a Noz input that can also retard timing or switch maps. Going from low to high makes the IFS compatiable with these options.

It is a simple bit change I could do to make it go from high to low if you are intersted in one.

Best regards,

Dan
