I have some free time coming up in my schedule and would like to do some tests of various things for the evo community and was wondering if people had some thoughts on what they would like to see...I will definitely be doing a comparison of pumps but not sure what else people would like to see.

how much power gained is too subjective as it has alot to do with tuning, the car's power level before the alky, how much is being sprayed, whether it's ethanol or methanol, etc...

 

yea the power is very subjective but what I can do is do a comparison of power gains by a third party tuner comparing a stage1 kit (basic boost pressure switch) vs a stage2 kit (progressive based)...if thats something people are interested in I can do that...

ease of install is about same for all kits out there...I mean having the pump already mounted to the tank adds only 15 minutes of install time so I never really got that aspect...I guess good directions would be the only selling point...

price is also very hard to compare because msrp is never followed closely by any of the kits out there...

 

input: IDC or MAP or MAF or combinations of the above

output: flow rate or afr or both

 

ucc: labonte and aquamist is trying to get an alky kit shoot out organized, why not join them?

 

I can certainly do that as well...I am trying to see if I can get a couple magazines to do a shootout on the kits...I put the calls in will see if any of them like the idea...I like the idea of maf vs map vs idc...that is going on my list...hopefully I can get to doing all these as I set 3 weeks for doing this sort of stuff...
