Anyone have 1/8 BSP for Aquamist Kit?
So I'm looking to borrow or buy the tap(1/8BSP) needed for the install of the jets in the Aquamist kit. If you can help me out then please send me a PM. Thanks in advance. Jim Walsh

I think I have one used one left. I should be able to check on this tomorrow or sometime during the week. If I do, I can send it to you no cost if someone else does help with this before then.
It would be a loaner so to speak in that if at a later point in time you saw someone in need like you for this you would need to send it to them at your cost........or you could just send it back to me in good shape when you are done with it.
Theres a couple of people on here with these that did not pay for them OR for the shipping and hopefully they are chiming in threads like this to help out.
IF theres a big rush and a used loaner can not be found pretty quickly I can have the warehouse drop ship a new one on Monday for a small part and shipping costs.

This is for the jet and NOT the jet adapters
Heres the link at Aquamist
http://www.aquamist.co.uk/sl/plist/frm-4-USD.html
"Precision tapered tap for all Aquamist water jets. A well prepared 7mm hole with slight chamfer for proper "O" seating is recommended. Do forget to cut the chamfer first before tapping the thread.
Please note that the wall thickness of the tapped hole must be less than 4.5mm so that the jet can protrude or flush with the inner wall, otherwise the spray pattern of the jet will be badly affected. "

I don't think I have jet adaptors. I bought the kit used from xiano420. I should just be able to drill the hole, use the 1/8 BSP tap and screw the jets into the UICP right?

The jet adapters allow for easier jet swapping/changes. IF you think that you would be changing jets more then once or twice I would get the jet adapters.
The jet adapters require a different tap which I do not have more of......but as with the tap for the jets theres people on here who do have the tap and should be able to help you. At the bare minimum a new correct tap is worth the couple of $$ on top of the adapters.
This may cause you to rethink the install and it may cause you to delay the install but again if you think you will be swapping jets its worth the extra trouble.
The jet adapters also allow for jet location testing. Aquamist kits are installed on several EVO so there's less experimentation needing to be done to obtain the best results but the jet adapters with bungs allow you to setup for differnt injection location points, which allow you to fine tune the system for your particular setup. This type of testing is not necessary or needed for most.....just us nuts that like to play and tweak a little more then others.

I'm just gonna keep it simple and follow the basic set up of the two jets in the UICP for now. So does this mean you're still going to send me a tap or should I look for some other Meth users? Hopefully I'll get some more hits on this thread.

Thanks for the tip. Would you be willing to send me yours? I'd pay for the shipping if aqmist doesn't have any available? If not I guess I'll just buy one from Mcmaster-carr. Thanks for the help.

I would like to clarify this:
1/8BSP of 1/8BSPP jet adapt was shipped with the HFS-xx kit before June 08.
1/8NPT was shipped after June 08 .
The 1/8NPT adaptor is clearly labelled on the bag. It also has radial cuts on the hex nut, as seen on the picture above).

This sucks because I'm so damn confused still. I don't have any adaptors. I only have two 1.0 jets from this used kit. That's all I have. Richard was kind enough to ship me the bungs that the jets thread into. So I'm assuming I need a 7/8" or 8.8mm drill bit and a 1/8 BSP tap in for the bung that threads into my UICP. Am I wrong in assuming this?
