Map Switching - NLTS

I recently installed an HFS-1 system on my Evo IX and setup the map switching (tephra v5.10). I tried to setup the failsafes last night and ran into a problem. When I shift from second to third gear using the NLTS my map switches to the base map (I can tell because the lights shuts off). I tried turning the WL and WH further (about 3 clicks to open up the window) and it still switched on the shift. I then turned them off by turning them all the way clockwise and counter clockwise and the map no longer switched. I guess I need to have a really wide window on the failsafes? Anybody else run into this problem?

What version DDS3 are you using?

This sounds like an issue related to the internal delay built into the DDS3. Each version has slightly different delay and that could help us to track down your problem.

Where is the serial number for the DDS3 box located? I looked on the board and couldn't locate the number.

light on the dds3 or your sprayer light?

guess it wouldn't matter, its the same indication isn't it. I have to presume its a wire problem, never had any issues on my failsafe flipping my ebc. Unless I run below the threshold, but it switches back when I reach the on level again.

It's the light used with map switching wiring harness provided by Jack of Trades.

not the serial number, the version number. It is on the case for the DDS3 junction box.

It will say either V8 or V8a or V9, etc...

Is it possible for you to return the v8a board to me so that I can modify the transient delay? I have run out of the v8a and v9 circuit board as we are shipping the v10 with the kits in the next few weeks.

v10....wow I though v9 just came out, lol.

v9 had a revised delay, the low fluid sensor no longer triggers the failsafe, and it was able to output a 5v single to the ecu for tephra mod correct?

What are the changes to v10?

Sorry for the absence, still have problem logging in. Fifth time today, 32 clicks. I finally got in - I am sure it is the mix bless of microsoft after using "live one care"

V10 is just a tidying up exercise of the previous.

- We have change boxes - at last! Still static safe but the lid hinge and body is moulded in one piece.

- Water level sensor is back in service, but with event counter.

- Gauge lead is terminated with a RJ45 connector to junction box. This feature made life slightly difficult to upgrade from previous models, butnopt impossible.

- Not ready to ship till November.
