Neptunes Net Meet 11/16

lol dammit...i live just a few blocks away from that rite aid too hahaha lol...
well i just found another canyon...its in San Gabriel Valley its called TurnBull canyon...or what i would call "Terrible Canyon" its pretty sick...like 3 U Turns all consecutive and a ton of hair pin turns...really sick...i couldn't handle one of the hair pins kus i came up too quick and end up locking my brakes and ran right into the rails -=ox its ok though i was able to slow myself down enough so that it just scraped the paint off my bumper but no gashes or scratches...easily repairable...hehe but yeah its a sick canyon and its in the middle of no where so there no cars at all...at the top of the canyon is a really nice view of the San Gabriel Valley and a little bit of LA...
recommended for this canyon are strut and sway bars!!!! atleast!!!
hehe anyway bit off topic but yeah wish i went to the meet but i got caught up at work...those pictures looked like alot of fun....-=o\ maybe next time.

I want to emphasize that when we drove in the canyons near Neptune's Net, it was a parade... fun, not too fast, cruising. Not a race (the leader stays the leader, and the last guy stays in back) We don't want any of our fellow Lancer owners hurt or worse. Any meet I cruise with better be a gentle Sunday drive. If you guys wanna race, join me at the fun, safe, autocross events.

hehe very true urban..that post you made goes totally against what i had posted earlier about taking on TurnBull canyon...
but yeah i rather you guys take it to the tracks...
as for me i found the place by accident...just cruising around and ended up there(i like to get lost -=oP ) and found some racers that were trying out their cars there...some really nice cars at that too JDM 240sx's and some rotaries
in anycase my decision to try the canyon wasn't out of the blue i hesitated a bit....the racers i met there told me to cruise the mountain for a few passes and get to know the turns before i let myself tear it up...but obviously it takes more then a few runs through the canyon to get used to the mountain i ended up miscalculating the turn and ran into the rail...at like 2mph heh LUCKY ME...but yah i dont plan on taking the canyon anymore i figure its too much for my car in the stage its in...the canyon i must say is really deserted i really have no clue why they put roads through this canyon when the nearest house is like 15miles away and is in the outskirts of the city(unless they plan to expand)...oh well the canyon was alot of fun i dont regret doing what i did...in anycase enough of trying to justify myself...

Awwe Drift, I wasn't referring directly to you. Canyons can still be fun, just not as erratic as a parking lot maybe. You're still welcome to any of our meets and cruise runs 
Come to think of it, I'm about to use the canyons to go avoid rush hour traffic and get to school on time (I hope)
