I know I don't know most of you and am a new forum member but I still would like to invite you to one of our companies meets. It is great fun and we would love to have some of you guys out there with us.

We are heading out on Sunday, February 19th for a full day of fun (if weather permits).



What to bring:

1) Two way radios.

2) Water and Food that wont rot (it should be 65-75 degrees).

3) A small tool set.

4) Cameras.

5) Your car.

6) Chairs.



What to leave home:

1) ALCOHOL. Bring it and I will have a ranger escort you off of the premises.

2) **** Heads. We already had one mishap with some dumb asses breaking the rules. If you come with us then follow the rules.

3) Guns. There is no shooting allowed there. It is the middle of no where, but guns are still not allowed.



What not to do:

1) DO NOT BREAK THE LAKE BEDS SURFACE.

- NO BURNOUTS.

You can drift and drive the **** out of your car but don’t roast tires in one spot. It leaves holes and can causes serious accidents.

got work that day then a track day at thunderhill.it sounds fun to get to drive around like a maniac without getting pulled over

 

Ive been wanting to go there for a while but everytime I call they say the lakebed is CLOSED to traffic due to rain. It was closed the last time I was there back in November.

 

We have gone out there twice. Once during the summer when it was like 110 degrees and once in february of last year. There was no rain and the lake bed was open. You will know atleast two weeks in advance if the meet is still on or not.

Do they just go out and screw around in the salt flats or what? And where is it? I know THE salt flats are like an hour drive away from here (being the Bonneville Salt Flats where they like to test cars, or film ads for cars)

 

El Mirage is off the Palmdale exit from the 5 Freeway. Its a block (loooong block) from edwards air force base.

 

Yes, just to clearify these aren't actual salt flats. It is a lake bad with an extremely smooth surface. We go out there to film people opening up there cars and driving hard. Its alot of fun and you see people do some pretty interesting things with their cars.

Ok guys, sad to say it, but the lake bed will be closed and the meet is officially postponed...
