Phoenix area tuner/clutch install

So i finally came to the realization of the weakness of the stock clutch and im dreading the replacement. Was considering doing it myself but after reading the write up id prefer to save myself the trouble and the risk of messing something up and leave it to the pros. Just wondering if anyone knew of a reliable company and or person in the phoenix area that could put one in for me. also with an ecutek hopefully on the way, any opinions on best tuners in the area?

Ide do it for $400, but ime south of Tucson 20 miles. Thats with you helping and having a flywheel. If we have to turn yours, that adds another day to the job. Ray

Good luck on the clutch install. It flags like 10 hours or something close to that if you take it to any shop.

+1 for Mynes Performance for the tuning and you may convince them to do your clutch too, though they may be a little burnt out on 'em after doing so many recently.

Also, make sure who ever you hire to do it puts in a new transfer case o-ring. Only a few bucks and well worth it. Nobody likes leaks in their driveway.

+2 for Mynes Performance, install and tuning. They just did my clutch and did a great job at that. If you want to pay more money, Pat@Vivid does good work also. Or if you want to trek out to Road Race in California they probably have the best rates on a clutch install since they do them all the time.

Thumbs up

if you are wanting work done in PHX or anywhere in AZ, the only shop i would recommend is a local one in Mesa since they not only own 3 shop EVO's, but they are constantly innovating with new ideas & technology & the results are showing at the track. if you are wanting to do a "cheap" clutch (ACT, Exedy single, clutchmasters, or anything else under $1500), you might want to look elsewhere. i can honestly say the only "overkill" part an EVO needs is a good clutch.
