Heh, I haven't been to the pavilions since some time in 05. And with those freeway cameras on the 101 I try and avoid that highway when I can. I agree, we should head over to that spot on Guadalupe. I remember going there a while back and it seemed pretty cool...

 

This kind of problem has been around AZ for the past 7yrs I have lived here. All the spots that have had Imports hang N out at always got broken up, because of that 1-5 BONE HEADS that think its cool to take their hoopty and do dounuts in the parking lot (etc)

 

Any of you guys remember "lot 55" or something like that over at ASU? That was a pretty good showing for a while till the ASU police started blocking it off. With the new family I am finding myself wanting to be with my daughter rather than going to the Pavillions. I guess I am just getting old.

 

I wouldnt even worry about it. Everytime i have gone up there to the pavilions it wasnt all that great. All a bunch of older junker cars. I say if you guys do anything to just find a new spot where you can have mostly respectful people that are into the same cars. Thats what we do here in Tucson. The evos here all meet up at our own places. Sometimes people follow sometimes people dont. Just the way it is....let me know where u guys decide to meet up from now on so when i go up there we can all hang.....

Does anyone know of a resturaunt with a big parking area that is looking for some extra business?

 

i know there is a sonic here in east mesa that would enjoy the extra biz...ellsworth and guadalupe...i think there is a few more in gilbert...i remember going to a jeep gathering there once when i still had my xj...i think it was on guadalupe...and there is a chilis at the chandler fashion center with tons of parking lot space...lets get some ideas rolling so we can give the pavs an official sendoff...

 

I know it sounds juvenile, but it would be fun to ge a group of imports with VERY LOUD exhausts and roll through the parking lots making some noise.

I heard they banned "import tuners" on the 25th. Apparently something happened, a few people were being stupid (again) and f-d it up for everyone (again).

Personally, I'm sick of the crap that goes on at the Pavilions. It's nice to be able to go and hang out with my friends but there are other places to do it. Those old farts can have their stupid car show.

Kind of off topic, but since most posters in this thread are from AZ, I figured it was the easiest way to find out. Question, the other day I saw a yellow Evo with factory tails, black OEM VIII wheels, lowered with a red front Mitsu emblem parked, (I'm guessing at work), near the corner of Ray & Alma School in Chandler. Anybody know if the owner is on the board? Clean car..
