i miss home, but in a way i don't... i lived in maui all my life till last year when i moved to good ol' sin city... if i were still back in maui i wouldn't have my car and even if i did, i can't do much to it since the cops there are d!(l< heads... oh wellz, imah be going back home for a vacation sometime this coming winter...

What's the deal with aftermarket modifications and what not? My wife read something that said you had to get your car checked out by the police and get some sort of sticker if there was anything non-stock on the car, even just rims.

recon is what your talking about, its a pain but not as bad as it used to be, wheels bigger than 1.5" over stock, and suspension are the main things

I have another question about the safety inspection - hopefully someone can help out. I put some Evodave 7 tails on before I came over. With those tails, you no longer have white reverse lights - they light up through the paint as red. Do they check that on the inspection? If so, will I pass with a fine or something? I still have the stockers, but they will not be arriving here with the rest of my stuff until August. My car is due to get here in a week or two. If y'all think it's going to be a prob, is there anyone on Oahu with some extra stockers in their garage??

most likely your gonna need white to show through not red for your reverse. just go to a small privately owned gas station and be nice to the guy..lol maybe he wont check it or he'll let u go.. great to hear your getting your Evo soon, one day hopefully we will out number the wrx's and sti's.. :P
