For those folks who are nervous about purchasing your vehicle out of state I can document my experience. After wanting to purchase the EVO IX and being led to this great deal I decided to purchase the vehicle from SouthCoast Mitsubishi. BTW, I live in South Carolina so I guess you can get much further away while still residing in the cont. US.
The price was as advertised, $27,999 and they added a $45 document preparation fee. I dealt with Mike Elliot and Mike Shriner for this transaction. I have been very pleased with the professionalism thus far, but had to follow up a few times to get information I had requested. I do understand everyone is very busy so I would say it has not been a big deal. I am probably more sensitive to details than most folks.
I purchased the car last Thursday and had SouthCoast Mitsubishi set up the hauling of the vehicle using Dependable Auto Shippers(DAS). The price from CA to a local (~23miles) drop station in SC was $959 for a grand total of $29,003. Even with shipping that is $1200 cheaper than I could get it anywhere else. The car was delivered to DAS on Friday and tracking shows it still waiting to be loaded onto the hauler. Estimated ETA is July 21. I have asked that Mr. Elliot give me the approximate miles that were on the car when delivered to DAS, but have yet to receive that information. From my understanding it will be ~36miles, 6 original miles plus ~30 to drive it to DAS(thanks). I just want to make sure there is no huge discrepancy when the car is received.
I will keep everyone updated and I am very excited about my new purchase. BTW, my good buddy Walker Morgan, www.mpfab.com, convinced me to purchase this vehicle and led me to this great deal with SouthCoast Mitsubushi. BTW, he does excellent work so please check out his site and pics of his 2005 EVO 8.

Evolution mr: Maybe I can help Mark out with that question. I believe they are expected at the earliest August, but September should be a pretty safe bet.
Ralph: I dunno it happens. Anyway, give Mark a break it's tough offering the best deals in the country
P.S. exactly 1 month left. I can't wait to make the reservation call on August 1

Do you have to be an EVO owner to ualify for these prices? Just wondering cause I saw two of your MRs on autotrader for the same advertised price. Either way if these prices can be honored for a current dodge owner I will be booking a flight to Cali soon to come see you guys.

You don't get the mitsubishi 500 dollar loyalty discount, but you get the prices you see advertised here regardless of whether or not you've owned an Evo in the past.

As the prices say, they are subject to change without warning at any time!
This is why we're taking a risk by waiting until August...
If I wasn't in Japan I would have owned an evo since March for sure though..
