Hi, I am new to this thread and I live in SD too. I just want to ask if anybody changed their BOV and still have their stock BOV (for the IX) laying around in the garage? I need the stock BOV to pass the ref (smog) test. Pls let me know are u willing to sell it or if anyone can kindly borrow it to me to pass the smog check. I would appreciate any input. Thanks.

It's normal for the BOV to flutter. Just don't over-do it as it's not a good thing since BOV's were meant to release pressure all at once and not flutter which causes a vibration. This occurs below max boost when you are in the single digits. When the throttle is left-off with such low boost, there is not enough pressure in the pipes to fully open the flapper valve. Since a BOV has a diaphragm that moves depending on pressure, IE not all of anything like a solenoid, it will "sputter" out the pressurized air in order to equalize the internal pressures back to atmospheric.

nothing is Tee'd off the BOV line and i think it is due to the compressor housing on the turbo. On the RnR turbo kits they dont come with antisurge compressor housings. Anyone have an antisurge compressor housing for a 35r?
