Fellas, my brother just informed me that there is 100 octane gas available at
a gas station pump? Im sure it's not cheap, but that would work for me. My Evo is not a daily driver.

100 oct = Crap.....not really, but its the bottom of the barrel for race fuel alternatives...

If you want the realist unleaded race gas get MS 109..... at about $10 a gallon....

OR if you want the cheapest most powerful corn fuel....get E-85.... at about $3.50 a gallon...

There is a gas station in El Cajon off of Mollison that sells 100 octane at the pump, as well as various octanes of VP Racing fuel inside the store.

Just arrived from Cincinnati. Still have my snow tires on (which saved my *** in February during the US-8 snowstorm shutdown in Alpine. Sad to see those porsches going sideways.)

Looking for the following;
1. Decent dealer that won't reflash my ECU, just for oil change, wheel changeout (SSRs and performance tires for current stock wheels and snows. BTW, anyone want some stock wheels?)
2 Local shop that understands tuning, upgrades, wacko car enthusiasts.
3. Advice on getting registered...

I've seen a few Evos on the road and I must say it's nice being in good company. While the Evo has been great for all season driving, this climate will be terrific.

Here in SoCal we live around a E-85 hub. It is located off of I-15 and El Cajon Blvd. Alhough they do not sell E-85 24/7, their hours of operation are pretty darn good. Here is a list to other E-85 stations in CA:

From the looks of the map E-85 is located in most areas you'd be station at. E-85 has become vary popular in the Evo community. Water-meth kits are becoming obsolete. Andrea and I will be running E-85 on our Evo here shortly.

It's tempting just to do cams, and buy an FP Red as well...Only thing I'd need is big injectors (1,000CC or 1,200 cc?) and that should do it

1000cc injectors and a Walbro 255 are sufficient for a stock turbo on E-85. I am not sure what the duty cycle would be like with an FP Red. Our duty cycle right now (with 1000cc injectors) is 55% on 91 octane. Plenty of room available for the E-85 tune. Now, once we have an E-85 tune we'll look at the duty cycle and then make a decision as to whether we'll need larger injectors if we go with a Red. Great thing about having an AEM EMS now is fuel injector changes are a piece of cake!

Whenever my clutch goes out, then it will be time for E-85 for me as well . Seems like some good stuffs.
