Hi guys,
Lemme know when you want to have a little bay area get-together. Perhaps we could meet at our shop and give Brett (a former chef ) an excuse to whip up some good BBQ on the grill. What's better than hamburgers and dyno runs?
Cheers,
shiv

I cheated a bit saying I have Stage I; remaining parts will be installed and tuned next week. Will post details soon as it is all complete.
Exhaust noise is mellow. Clearly not loud or tin can sound. It is also clearly not nearly as quiet as stock. I like quiet exhaust and am satisfied with the amount of noise this system has, even with downpipe and high flow cat. You'll just need to drive one to see what you think. Also; no rattles. Many systems have or will develop rattles and its important that the system be top, top quality. This system has fantastic quality - you get what you pay for.
EVOtook: Please post results of STI drive and impressions!
BTW I believe the State One will consist of the following:
-Cam timing change via adjustable cam gears
-Full 3" exhaust with high flow cat.
-Latest XEDE which features boost control and 2 in-car switchable maps
-Tune with XEDE to maximize benifits of above parts
I could be missing something here but these are the main elements I'm sure.
I believe the Vishnu staged tune steps will prove to be the most intelligent way to mod. the Evo. Lots of guys are spending money on things that don't help and are not necessary. So for me, I'm being patient and adding the mods. that Vishnu develops as they come out and I think I will be ahead in the long run. Those of us that live in the bay area have a real added bonus in that we are close to the Vishnu facility in Pleasanton where new parts are constantly being developed and evaluated; just for our cars!

geez all i here are san jose walnut creek and vallejo. where are all you bay area evos. i know i am not the only one. i know there is a silver one that works at a castrol oil changing place by my house and a blue one that lives a mile or 2 away from. including my white evo that is 3 in the sunset area alone. i better be hearing some representation soon. mine is bone stock and pretty sure the others are too. this is sad considering i got mine the first day of sales.

There's already a get together tomorrow @ El Cerrito Mitsu. Look here for more info. Meet Pro SCCA Rally Team Widget and check out their Evo. Meet Roger Foo, Pro SCCA MazdaSpeed driver. Meet a free hotdog and eat it. Best of all. Meet Team SLAM before CAL SLAM STAGE III and join up. It's more than a Religion... It's a REVOLUTION!

Another EVO driver in the SJ area checking in.
I have yet to see any other EVO drivers in the San Jose area at all, though I have seen two STI's. One in Fremont and one at the Best Buy in South San Jose.

Yeah, I would be very interested in checking out your shop. Would we get a group discount on the dyno runs? I will need to get my tranny/clutch noise taken care of (warranty work) before I start modding though. But your stage zero is what I'm eventually gonna be interested in, so it'd be good to meet you and ask you all the questions I have. Someone mention 7/19 and that date is good for me. I will start a new thread in the next couple of days to see how many are people interested in a get together.
Thanks,
Dave

Hey everybody,
I'm the Black EVO running around West San Jose, usually with my Rottie in the back seat. My car can always be recognized by the drool splatter, both in and out!
Let us know when you are going to do the open house Shiv, I've been planning on taking a sick day soon to come up and talk to you anyway. Like I need to go any faster but addiction is a terrible thing.

I'm looking at August 3, the day after CAL SLAM STAGE III.
There'll be hella Evo VIIIs and WRXs in town from around the Bay and across the state.
Are You Ready?
