Things to do in Vegas?
What's up people! My wife and I are headed to Vegas On January 2, 2009 for the honeymoon that we never had. So 7 1/2 years and 2 kids later, we got a chance to go. I'm wondering what there is to do there other than casinos and the bunny ranch! lol Would like to know what else there is to do for non gambling purposes, any suggestions or other points of interest? Places to eat, etc?

There are some nice shows from Cirque du Soleil, they are pretty amazing. Don't know if that's what your looking for but I recommend it.
Mystere, Love, Zumanity, Ka, and O are good, I don't know about the Criss Angel thing though.
Zumanity is a litlte more erotic. Personally I have seen Ka and Mystere and there both really good. I really don't know which one i like more though, Ka is more fast paced though.

If you're into the Old West kind of theme, you might try Bonnie Springs. Go out there, get a room at their inn and you can chill old school style.
Gambling
If you ARE going to gamble, do NOT do it on the strip. The best chances for winning is from the "locals" casinos which are not on the Strip. Check out Sam's Town, Santa Fe, Texas and the others that are away from the strip.
Food
Someone earlier mentioned the Rio buffet, which I'll co-sign. I've eaten there and the food is great. Stay FAR away from 95% of the other buffets out there, especially Circus Circus. There is a nice seafood buffet at the Fremont on Sunday and Tuesday though, complete with lobster, alaskan king crab, jumbo shrimp and such. Top of the World is good, but it's waaay overpriced. If you are looking for that genre of dining, try Ruth's Chris or Austin's @ Texas Station. Gordon Biersch brewery is a nice spot too.
Celebrity Spotting
There are going to be a gang of celebs, sports figures and such all over town, but probably the best places to see them are Palms or Hard Rock Hotel. Sometimes you might see a few at the higher-priced places like Venetian, Bellagio or Pallazzo, but those are going to mostly be the older crowd.
BTW, I'm originally from Jacksonville, NC. My dad was a Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune.

The Green door, never been there myself but I heard its a trip. \"O\" at the Bellagio is the show to see also. My buddy just had dinner at the Top of the World restraunt in the Stratoshpere and he spent 2 bills just for him and his girl, just letting you know. Good luck and have some fun here in Vegas.

The Green Door? Lol. Good one. If you and your wife are swingers, then that might be a place you want to check out.
Definitely any of the Cirque shows like "O" and "Mystere" are worth it. I think prices these days are around $160 per person. And as gay as it sounds, the musical "Jersey Boys" about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is actually pretty good and funny too. If you want to take her shopping and have deep pockets, go to the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace or The Shops at Palazzo. The Palazzo has the Lamborghini dealership in it as well, and you can walk from there across the street to the Wynn hotel and see the Ferrari dealership too. The rides on top of the Stratosphere will scare the crap out of you if you want to do something like that.
