frank-n-stein is correct. You will need supporting mods to make those numbers. Although there are 2 tuners i know of. 1st guy is chris black from AMS and 2nd is chris from Mellon.
Mellon was at my house and tuned quite a few evo's. My old roommate ED had his tuned by mellon and i know for a fact that he make up to 370 or more on an almost stock evo ix.
i have an VIII with a IX turbo uicp/licp, stage 4 clutch, 880cc injectors, aem ems,
br intake, evo VI motor, wavetrac front diff, hks 274/278 cams, ams turboback exhaust, meagan o2 housing, and I was tuned by chris black from ams and made 350whp @ 21psi. I recently put my evo viii motor back in and will probably up the boost to about 24-28 and make a substantial amount of power.
Looking at a lil over 400whp.

Unless you got a hold of some E-85...340-360 to the wheels with just those mods is very unlikely
I remember tuning my Evo while I lived in CA with full exhaust/intake/test pipe and barely scratch 301 to the ground..
A fuel pump/o2 housing/LICP/FMIC got me to the numbers I'm at now... Good luck

If you don't mind me asking why go from a VIII motor to a VI motor? It will seem to me that the VIII motor will be better than the VI, but again I don't know too much about the VI motor.

I'd recommend Sonic Motorsports. I don't know what they changed their name to, but it recently changed. They were the cheapest on the island. I dropped my car off at noon on a friday and picked it up the next day before noon. They did good work. I'd go to them again if I needed anything done.
