Alright Hawaii evo guys... I have been working a deal with a vendor (I won't say their name until I get all of it worked out next week) to do a massive shipment of jdm parts to Hawaii! Before everyone starts asking tons of questions, here are the perks, assuming I can get it all figured out...

Parts from over 150 manufacturers will be competitively priced with NO shipping costs! (yes you read it right $0)

We aren't talking evo specific.. VIP, drift, you name it

Now alittle more info

Parts will be made to order type parts (Varis, ame, etc)

Minimum order $500 (paid directly to vendor not me)

Will come via ocean freight in a 40' container

Parts will be picked up at a local shop ONLY, not delivered to your door!

It will go something like this (initial thoughts)
- first 3 months for ordering
- next 6-10 weeks, product production for custom parts
- container loaded and inventoried by vendor
- container arrives Oahu and you pick up your goodies

So that mean there would be an additional 2-3 month wait (possibly) BUT you will save over $1k if you order something like a Varis kit... I paid 400 to ship skirts, 475 to ship bumper, 375 for valance, 465 for wing! So figure all of this goes away assuming that you don't mind waiting. My thought is if I can get it moving, I maybe able to motivate the vendor to TRY to get this here before HIN, but there are a lot of assumptions there.

So I am open to thought, suggestions and questions.?.

Rob

So you need to buy something that is a minimum of $500 and it has to be a built to order part?

Good question.... Let me try to clarify...

Order would have to be $500 total is correct (which most products would be anyways)

Not all products are built to order, BUT a lot of the body pieces would be (think Varis, do-Luck, Wald, Fabulous none of which have a stocking warehouse in Japan so they build pieces when order is placed and individually serial number them)

With that said, the first scrub manufacturer list will be out very soon (early next week) and will be sure to include those mentioned above as well as ones like Bride Japan (not crappy Canada ones), Arc, Blitz, Cusco, Garage G Force, Rays, Work, on and on and on)

All parts from these manufacturers will be available to be shipped for free, including exhausts, wheels, engine components.. Even jun engines if you got cash to blow... But keep in mind that things that take up bigger boxes is where you would see amazing savings

I hope that kind of clarifies things a little. Again, this is in early stages, BUT the vendor will be prepared to start taking orders in the next week or two. They are actually waiting on me to get the Hawaii side of receiving everything straight. The 1 perk to the 3 month ordering window is that the vendor is looking at doing some type of deposit program.. You want 900 bucks worth of stuff... You pay it off in that 90 day window and it makes the container.

Like I said guys, I am open to any suggestions and feel free to send questions and I will do my best to get an answer OR I am sure once this is sorted out there will be an official email address direct to the vendor for prices etc

Another thing I forgot to mention is that there are American products that will be available, like ams... Again, this container is mostly going to be jdm bits, assuming I can make it work.... And assuming I get it figured out the same offer will be made to all enthusiasts on island (euro guys, VIP etc) so if you know anyone in other markets feel free to throw it out at them! The sooner we can get enough orders the sooner the container would set sail to Hawaii

Looked at the brief manufacturer list again and for others it includes DPE wheels, HRE, Top Secret... It's a long *** list (150+)

Is this a one time thing? Or will this happen every so often?

Let me know flo

This is the initial. Assuming we get enough response it will happen 1-2 times a year or as supply and demand requires. The hope is 1 container every 6 months to keep a constant influx without us Hawaii enthusiasts having to pay huge shipping costs. To be honest, me and a vendor were talking a couple weeks back about it and we decided to take on the project so I hope it takes off! If so you will have easy access to any part you could ever want
