All kinds of magic around here. Bambi gets mad when people generalize all female tuner drivers based on the clueless one's we've met.....but magically generalizes all military based on the creeper ones she's met......magic!

But here goes...I got irked when people were rude. Full stop. Whether you think I'm an "owner" or a "guest" is irrelevant. Introducing yourself to everyone present save the lone woman is rude.
As far as generalizing women vs. generalizing military men...
I put up with **** on a near daily basis about how women are terrible drivers, women can't drive stick shifts, I only bought my car so I could attract the D, there's no way I can do my job since I'm a girl and **** keep me from somehow being able to estimate repair time on a ****ing fender....blah blah blah. Old hat. I'm over it. These people are not worth the effort.
That is totally different than saying:
I do not date military based on my personal experiences.
There is an aspect of privilege and power when it comes to generalizing marginalized groups, and if you'd like to know more, I'd be happy to have an intelligent discourse on that in another forum (as in person, email, whathaveyou).
In regards to last night, I was kidding. I'm a former sailor, been a military brat my whole life, and have the utmost respect for our servicemen and servicewomen.
With all seriousness, I am sorry if I offended anyone with my comments. My sarcasm and sense of humor does not always come across well in type, and I apologize for that as well. I did not mean to seem like I was generalizing all military men.

I do not have the energy for this argument tonight.
