E85 Delivery in SoCal

E85 Delivery in SoCal
I'm not a vendor yet on this forum but depending on the response I get I may. As some may know, the power advantage of E85 is great, even if you do factor in the slightly less fuel efficiency. The problem with it is the coverage in terms of places to buy, which are very limited and will remain so for many more years. To this problem I have started an E85 fuel delivery company that operates by delivering E85 to either businesses or residences 7 days a week depending on the clients wants. I am also in the works of developing a "super E85" that will surpass the current E85 in performance capabilities. If anybody is interested in this, or just wants to simply find out more information regarding the specifics of E85, the delivery system, areas of coverage, etc., feel free to PM me so that I can keep the posting in this thread to a minimum and stay within the bounds of a non-vendor status for now.
Thank you

Well, Ben, I'm not in SoCal, but the summation of your business plan is most intriguing. I will be watching this thread very closely. Do you have a web site by chance? If not, you need one.
Looks like you got a good bit of interest in your SoCalEvo thread. Have you posted in the regional sub-forum on this board? Might try Craig's list as well.
Also, check every other kind of forced induction car you than think of, like Mustang, Supra, Nissan, Honda, etc. Lot's of those owners love E85 as well as we do.

Thanks Jim. I've been spreading the word on a a few other model specific sites, mainly BMW, but I am also going to be doing as you suggested and listing on other FI specific forums as well. I havn't thought about Craigs list but I'll definitely give it a try. My website will be up in about a week, just finishing up some little graphics and then it will be up and running. The idea of delivering E85 is a simple idea with a huge market. I have talked to so many people and shops that have been waiting to go the E85 route, only to hesitate because of the lack of stations. My goal is to allow anybody, anywhere (eventually), the ability to run E85 with the convenience of home delivery. With my system of delivery, I am also able to avoid the costly and time consuming permits for building an E85 station, allowing current E85 producers the ability to branch out to all markets almost instantly.

Ben, are you expecting this home delivery service to be direct to the vehicle, or would each customer need a holding tank? My reason for asking is, most people will be at work during the day.
Would your personal delivery concept work in other on-site locations, like say at performance shops? Meaning, if all of ACME TOONER's customers knew that you would be at their shop every Monday from 12-1, that would that give you the opportunity for making multiple 'deliveries' in a fixed location. This benefits the shop and their customers, who are now your customers. So the shop is able to sell more E85 tunes, and you sell even more E85.

Jim,
I will be delivering the fuel in CARB legal fuel containers that will be left with the customer. When they request another delivery we will swap out their empties with full containers. Also, most of our deliveries will be in the early morning and mid-late evening. I have given the idea of setting up a fixed location for people to pick up fuel some thought and I'm still waiting to hear back from some of the locations if they would allow me to do so.

Benj, you sir are on the right track. I live in san diego and there is only one place to get e-85 that is 15 miles away from me but the other two places are 40 miles away. I just dont always want to rely on filling up a jug myself because as you know forgeting to ill up your gas is very common. I would for sure be interested in your idea!! Contact Reese tuning in santee, i bet they would be interested because they do alot of e-85 tuning at there shop.
