jim, maybe my turbo is more effecient than yours? idk to be honest. its a precision gt3582-RLS, according to the part number. .70 a/r housing.
I wish I knew the specs on my turbo.. all i know is gt35.. I'm going to go with efficiency though.. congrats on those numbers!

Yea, I was pretty much done on my 1000's.. gotta up em if I wanna do anything else.. Double pump anyone?

Hey Ponce, the .70 a/r is the compressor shroud. The only back housings the 3582's had available were .63 or a .82 a/r.

Welcome Johnny! There's meets on Thursday at the Sonic on Sahara right off the 15.. we're also planning on a meet on the 23rd up at the lake.. Look about 3 pages back and read.. and you'll be in the know.

Garrett numbers their turbos by center section family, then compressor exducer size. examples -

gt3582r - ball bearing gt35 cartridge, 82mm exducer

hta3586r - gt35r cartride, 86mm exducer

gt4088r - ball bearing gt40 cartridge, 88mm exducer

gt4202r - ball bearing gt42 cartridge, 102mm exducer

The exhaust housing's a/r is usually stamped on the foot of the housing.

so I could technically figure out what turbo I have my measuring the compressor size? I've been looking over the old "for sale" thread my car was on.. and they just call it a "RRE 35R turbo" .. So I went to RRE and their website wasn't up..

SO THEN I used the wayback machine and looked at their site back in 2008... and couldn't find the turbo.. Great.

Jim, you probably have a regular ol' GT3582r. Nothin wrong with that. Precision used to label their turbos on the outside lip of the compressor inlet. Dunno if they do that anymore.

Man we are spammers, btw hi Johnny lol and welcome.

Tech question. Car idles rough between 300 rpms
to 1200. The afr sits at about 10 then goes up as the idle goes up and sometimes wants to shut off with the occasional shutting off. What are these symptoms for? Is it just that front o2 issue? Thanks.

when my car did that, i had to rescale my maf...my fuel trims were maxed out due to the open filter...

Robert is right with the solution....the problem is that 35r moves more air over the MAF at idle and it won't allow the fuel trims to adjust. There is a fix for it in the ECUFlash forum.
