Saw this on their site.. I'm pretty sure a few of us are over 93db...
"SOUND CONTROL Yes, there will be a sound limit at this site. The maximum sound level will be 93 dB. This is the same level that is imposed at Qual Com Stadium in San Diego. If you have any doubts about making this sound level… put a muffler on your car before you come. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IF YOUR CAR EXCEEDS 93 dB at 50 feet from the track."

That was when we'd go pages in a few hours. We still hit up the majority of MMs and had our feelers all over Vegas. HPDE, autocross, drag racing, highway runs, you name it, someone was doing it.
'05 was classic! We managed to dominate the subies at the drag strip twice. My slowest run ( first run of the night ) was faster than their fastest run of the night.

They won't give you $25 off if you just say its your first time. You have to print out and bring this coupon:
http://lvrscca.org/documents/25coupon.gif
anyway. see ya guys out there.
for the new guys:
-make sure you take all the loose stuff in your cars OUT(anything that doesn't belong, sub box, amps- if they aren't secured, hanging decorations from your mirrors, random **** under your seats, etc.) basically anything that would fly around from sharp turns
-bringing lunch/a snack is a good idea, along with water
-a hat or sunscreen
-air gauge is good if you have one (you will want to start with high pressure- like 40psi and adjust as you go)
-make sure all lugs are tight (80ft lbs)
-make sure battery is secure
-also you will need #s for your car (at least 7 inches tall) LVRSCCA will provide these, or if you want your own special # you can print em off your computer and tape em on. PS- dont tape em on before you get to the event for 2 reasons: 1- you look like a noob 2-they usually will fly off on highway driving 3-you will get attention from cops
- bring your helmet if you have one (if you dont its $10)
-id recommend NOT wearing skate shoes... but its not huge deal if you dont have anything else
REMEMEBER- this is a run/work event. meaning there will be times where you have to do corner/course work. it is the way SCCA is everywhere. it keeps the entry fee low.
ALSO- i cant stress this enough. if you happened to lose control of your car out while your running, ALWAYS put put both feet in (clutch and brake) and just come to a stop. NEVER try to save it. I've been doing autocross since 05 and ive seen 4 cars get damaged/totalled from people trying to "save" their drifts/oversteer incidents. and yes.. one was an evo :[
