I was tearing mine apart yesterday so I couldn't make the meet....
Ok ... Replacing the Alternator is tough job... but now that I've done it, I can see that it would only take a couple hours to knock it out... I did a LOT of extra work failing to take it out another way and then having to put that all back together
I does come out the bottom of the car... remove axle... lift motor.... loosen exhaust... remove K bar (on my car).... and you will give birth to an 8 lbs. Alt....
now my light flickers at idle... sigh... maybe I should have gotten a new tensioner too

Hey guys. I need your opinions. I want to ceramic coat my downpipe. I was planning to send it to swain tech for the white lightning. Do you think I should send it out to swain or do it locally?

Feeling a little beat up today ... after some whacked knuckles and banged up head.... lol
Ok... I kinda forgot that I was driving it around the day before for about 30 miles on just the battery .... the light was flickering cuz the battery was still low from the day before.... threw it on a 2 amp trickle charge and all is well now...
I'm gonna eat the core charge of $35 and get the OEM one rebuilt... nice to have a backup...
Peace

edit: so i cant find how much i paid, but im coming up on two years with my dp. no flaking or nothing, and still cool to the touch after a couple of mins
if you want the best of the best, go with the white lightning. if you just want a coat on there for a little protection and some heat retention, go local or a place like tirado custom coatings

got a little frisky in the evo tonight.... ended up with a fix it ticket for my exhaust (could have been waaaaaaaaaaaaay worse!) Anyway, anyone got a stock exhaust I can borrow for a while? I haven't even reviewed yet how to deal with this, but I wouldn't need to borrow it for more than a day or 2...
thanks,
Aaron
