The FP Red crapped!!!!! Anyone got one or know of one they want to get rid of? pic soon.

Similar or better (full kit)... FP has no parts in stock for a rebuild, and it's probably not rebuildable anyway Turbine blade came apart and took out others. Hotside is scored, compressor cover is scored too (lightly).

help a track junkie out!!!!! lol

compressor stayed together......red hot metal bits found their way out the back end without even a scratch on the exhaust piping. Can't imagine anything made it's way from compressor through intercooler, pass the throttle body, and into the head. Turbo was on it's way out when I bough the car from Nils in July. Mutually agreed that the oil seal was leaking and it needed a rebuild. Just waited too long...my bad!

You should clean your intercooler out to be safe, Aaron. When my green let go, there were little metal shavings everywhere.

WOW...how do your plugs look? It looks more like something went through it than just EGT taking it out. Is the exhaust restricted anywhere?

It was showing sever symptoms of oil seal, bearing wear. Until at racing temperature, 3rd, 4th, 5th upshifts from high power accel had excessive smoke. At race temp, no smoke. I think it's simply wheel to housing contact. Happened at 3rd gear full throttle 5k rpm. Engine runs as normal, just no boost. Wheel is stuck.

Did the bearing seize? I had the shaft on my green fail right under the compressor wheel, but the turbine wheel was undamaged. As for the black, I think it is the most fun turbo I have had. A little strange with how much noise it makes, but I like it.
